Toxic Smoke We live in a very toxic world. Our air and water are polluted. Our food supply is depleted in minerals and contaminated with synthetic chemicals. Trying to live a wholesome, healthy lifestyle is becoming more difficult than ever.

When the body is fed proper organic food and all its nutritional needs are met, it has a fighting chance against all the other toxins it ingests. But when fundamental nutritional needs are not met and the body is completely malnourished, then disease and obesity are inevitable. Self-poisoning caused by microorganisms, metabolic wastes, and other poisons produced within the body is called autointoxication.

Most people are so accustomed to feeling tired, bloated, constipated, irritated, mentally foggy, being overweight etc. that they don't suspect that their health is in danger. Or they maybe on medication to cover up such symptoms, never seeking the underlying cause.

Autointoxication generally tends to originate in an unhealthy large intestine (colon), the end portion of the human digestive tract. An average American may be carrying as much as 10 to 25 pounds of impacted fecal matter in his or her colon. The third most common reason for hospitalization among 15-44 year old persons is digestive disorders. Between the ages of 45-65, digestive problems become the second most common reason for hospitalization. As you see, autointoxication increases with age.

Colon toxicity can be contributing factor in many of these commonly reported health problems:

Constipation Headaches Hemorrhoids
Backaches Arthritis Allergies
Diarrhea Distended Abdomen Bad Breath/Halitosis
Skin problems Chronic fatigue Asthma
Irritability Depression Prostate trouble
Difficult weight loss Frequent colds Hypoglycemia
Insomnia Food cravings Abdominal gas
Hypertension Foul body odor Menstrual problems

Colon toxicity can also lead to more serious conditions, such as:

Bowel Toxemia: a condition caused by years of buildup on the colon walls of waste material,  impacted feces, bacteria, fungi, viruses, dead cellular tissue, accumulated mucus, parasites, worms etc. This condition can inhibit muscular action causing sluggish bowel movements, constipation, inflammation and serious disease.

Leaky Gut Syndrome: a condition where toxins from the colon may be absorbed and circulate in the blood stream. These poisons can impair normal liver, lung and kidney function. A person with this condition will feel tired, ill and weak almost constantly. Parasites and overgrowth of Candida are also very common occurrences in toxic colons.

It is believed that as much as 70% of our immune system is produced in the intestinal tract, so neglected colon often equals weak immune response which leaves your body vulnerable to all kinds of invaders.

A good detoxification program will target not only the colon, but also all the other organs of elimination. These organs- primarily the liver, kidneys, lymphatic and blood systems - also cleanse and protect the body from toxic substances. Detoxifying can target each of these organs individually or simultaneously.

During the detoxification program people may experience a severity of their symptoms at the beginning as well as foul smelling stool, a lot of mucus, visible parasites, headaches, lightheadedness, emotional distress and various other signs of the "healing crisis." These are all normal reactions and no cause for alarm. Usually, the worse the reactions one experiences, the more they are in need of detoxification.

While detoxification is not a weight loss procedure, it is interesting to note that many people report significant weight loss.
